Women Empowerment Vulnerable Women Benefit (VWB)

BERDO has been working in addressing Gender inequality and discrimination. In Bangladesh, Women have been marginalised, excluded and victims of Gender discrimination, rights violation and injustice due to so many obvious reasons. The organization has been incorporating Gender Issue in its program planning and trying to address gender disparity. BERDO has been implementing a Project titled, Vulnerable Women Benefit (VWB) Development Project (now Vulnerable Women Benefit) implement in 5 district supported by Ministry of Women & Children Affairs. This project targets empowerment and capacity building of poor and ultra-poor women through package of activities like life skill and IGA skill development training and other supports. BERDO has been working on community mobilization and awareness raising for gender equality through other programs as well. So far, BERDO provided different services to 2472 poor & vulnerable women.
